Cook Assistant/Laundry Attendant

Full time position work part time as Cook Asst and part time as Laundry Attendant. Cook Asst position assists with preparing breakfast, lunch and supper dishes according to the menu plan. Transporting meals on trolleys to 1st and 2nd floor residents and dining room. Assist with cleanup, washing all items used in kitchen. Ensure food areas are kept clean and sanitized. Ensure food ingredients are stored in their designated areas and rotated regularly. Assist with maintaining stock balance. Maintains positive interpersonal skills with residents, visitors and fellow staff. You will be called upon to cook occasionally, so some previous experience as a cook will be required. Laundry Attendant: assembles supplies and equipment for workday. Liaise with CEO and dept. heads regarding necessary items that require mending or replacing. Ensuring safety guidelines are adhered to while cleaning blood and bodily fluids. Maintains a safe and healthy environment. Washing, folding and ironing residents' laundry, stocking linen shelves and inventory table, bed linens and laundry supplies. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and in good health.
