About the role
C N EWERS & CO. LTD. T/A UNCLE CLEMS MEAT & GROCERY is looking for a qualified, experienced, reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team.
Duties & Responsibilities. Record transaction on customer receipt, record sales or deliveries information on daily basis. Inform the customer of new products or services. Listen and resolve services complaints. Must be competent in communicating in a polite and professional manner with all our customers and general public while carrying out duties. Must have a positive attitude and a courtesy to ensure the efficient delivery of goods to our customers. Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles. Accepting payments for delivered items. Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in Food Service industry. Must have a clean and proven employment track record with references in warehouse environments and in delivery driving. Must have a group 3 or 4 driver's license with minimum 3 years experience in delivery driving. Must be able to lift 60lbs. unassisted and must be willing to work in a refrigerated environment. Must be able and flexible to work day or night shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled requires. Must be reliable, punctual, honest, hardworking and mature individual, Knowledge in food products like Meats, Produce and Grocery. Must speak read and comprehend English fluently. Must be professional attitude, and maintaining a neat appearance and hygiene at all times along with special emphasis on road safety and courtesy required.
