Janitor

MDS Cleaning Services is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Janitor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary environments at residential and commercial properties while upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, kitchens, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain a clean appearance.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
• Clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and fixtures as required.
• Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Follow established health, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Load, unload, and properly store cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any defects.
• Ensure all assigned work areas remain clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to complete cleaning schedules efficiently.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and occupants on-site.
• Assist with urgent cleaning requests and special cleaning projects when required.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety procedures.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Ability to perform manual work, including bending, lifting, walking, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good time management skills and the ability to follow schedules.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary, including holidays.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Saturday
• Benefits: Statutory benefits provided.
