About the role
Full-time position with a minimum of 5 years current experience in caring for the elderly in a healthcare facility.
- current Red Cross First Aid CPR/AED certification
- Valid nursing license with C.I.H.P.C.
- Good observation skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills, a valid CI driver's license.
- Must work nights, shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Coordinate staff activities in the performance of their duties; ensure residents' needs are met through the assignment of staff.
- Assist in planning and carrying out assignments.
- Ensure medications are administered to residents as prescribed.
- Assist in menu planning, food preparations and food services
- Participate in orientation of new staff, supervise non-professional nursing and auxillary staff
- Assist with Doctor's rounds and follow-up care of residents
- Assist in planning and organization of functions and planning of fund raising activities
- Undertake any other duties as directed by the CEO or Nursing Supervisor when necessary. We are a non-profit organization, so overtime will be paid at regular hourly rate.
