Senior Accountant

This is a 3-6 month contract.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day finance and accounting operations including journal entries, general ledger, trial balance and payroll.
• Preparation of monthly and yearly consolidated financial statements.
• Coordinating and preparing budgets and forecasts, and other financial reports.
• Ensuring that all inventory registers are maintained and routinely reconciled with the General Ledger.
• Organizing financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
• Assisting with preparation of audit schedules and statutory accounts under IFRS.
• Tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• An internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA etc).
• 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
• 3 years in a supervisory level is advantageous.
• Audit background would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience with the application of generally accepted accounting and internal control principles (GAAP), and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
