How to find a job in the Cayman Islands

To find a job in the Cayman Islands, search the official WORC Jobs Portal (my.egov.ky), where WORC says every Cayman vacancy must be posted, and apply there or on the employer's own advert. Cayman Job Finder is an independent, free site that lists 1,488 current adverts (29 October 2026: 1,345 from the WORC Jobs Portal and 143 from employer and recruiter careers pages) so you can search them by job type, area and pay. If you are not Caymanian, an employer has to get a work permit for you before you can start.

1. Search the adverts

WORC says that under current regulations every job vacancy in the Cayman Islands must be posted on the WORC Jobs Portal, and that employers must receive applications through it (WORC press release, 18 July 2025). The portal is at my.egov.ky.

2. Apply on the official advert

3. If you are not Caymanian: the work permit

By law you may not accept a job in the Cayman Islands without a work permit (Cayman Islands Department of Tourism). The employer applies for it, and before doing so must have advertised the job for 21 days on the WORC jobs portal and in a local newspaper or prescribed media (Ministry of Caymanian Employment and Immigration, Immigration Reform FAQs).
